Klitz drummer Marcia Clifton with Hans Faulhaber cut these songs on a Fostex cassette recorder in 1983. Think Cleaners from Venus-style production meets ZE Records—but Southern. The duo employed a drum machine and worked out these tracks in Hans’ apartment. These are just two songs from a session that even included Sid Selvidge at one point (not on this release). This record only could’ve come from Memphis and gives some indication of where the Klitz, Memphis’ first punk band, might’ve gone had they stayed together. This is a very limited 25-run lathe cut and includes an insert/interview with Marcia Clifton. Available here and from Goner in Memphis. If you order from Goner, tell’em Ryan Leach sent ya.
