With their new-wave interpretation of "King Kong," Bad Dudes have completely ripped out the marrow of the Kinks original, and injected its remains into a disgruntled programmer-- bringing to mind a catchy and herky-jerky Cabaret Voltaire on nitrous oxide. Flip to the other side and their original instrumental, "Rollo Takes A Walk," will lead you further into your involuntary, video game robot dance. Both songs are exclusive to this release and exhibit Bad Dudes' updated take on the Residents, Snakefinger and all those oddball Ralph Records' acts, not to mention the technical brilliance of prog-rock without having to grow a beard.
